European Customs Clearance supports logistics service providers with their customs formalities. All cross-border transport of goods requires customs formalities, whether for import or export. With our Clearance department we ensure that our clients are provided with the correct customs documents. We also support clients with the secondment of Customs Declarants for various customs issues. 

At European Customs Clearance you will step into the role of Junior Customs Declarant. You will work in a young and dynamic team of Customs Declarants for international clients. In addition, we offer you opportunities to grow to full Customs Declarant. 

What will you do? 

As Junior Customs Declarant you will support in customs formalities for the import, transit and export of goods. You do this by a correct and timely handling of customs formalities in line with a correct implementation of laws and regulations. The customs traffic goes on 24/7 and you are an important link to guarantee a smooth flow for our international customers. 

Your duties? 

  • You will be responsible for preparing customs documents; 
  • You process document data into the various customs systems in a timely and accurate manner; 
  • You follow up on ongoing processes to meet deadlines with customers and make adjustments as needed; 
  • Service-oriented customer contact via phone and mail communication with customer or customs; 
  • You will provide other administrative support. 

Who are you? 

  • You have an affinity for logistics, customs and administrative processes; 
  • You are driven to build the necessary knowledge and have the ambition to grow in the declarant profession; 
  • You are a team player and can move quickly in a dynamic work environment; 
  • You have a quality-oriented attitude and work accurately; 
  • You are communicative in both Dutch and English.
