European Customs Clearance (ECC). has been a trusted partner in customs formalities for 25 years. We support logistics service providers in their cross-border goods flows by providing the correct customs documents and seconding Customs Declarants.
With our knowledge and expertise we ensure that our customers can always count on a smooth and correct handling of their customs processes. We are active in both the Netherlands and Belgium and serve a wide range of international customers.
To join our team, we are looking for an experienced and driven Customs Declarant to join us in building a solid and efficient customs department.
What will you do?
As Customs Declarant You play a key role in ensuring that the customs process runs accurately for our customers. You will be responsible for the complete handling of customs formalities and ensure that everything is done according to the correct procedures and legislation. You will also act as a point of contact for customers, customs authorities and other parties involved.
- Filing of customs and related declarations according to applicable laws and regulations.
- Correct and timely handling of customs formalities for import, transit and export of goods.
- Work in various customs systems such as Scope, AEB, Winsad, DMS and PLDA.
- Clearing goods and processing returns, corrections and adjustments.
- Advise on customs legislation and compliance requirements.
- Communicate with customers, customs and other authorities on pending cases.
- Review and collect all necessary documentation, certificates and permits.
- Actively contribute to the optimization of customs processes within ECC.
Who are you?
We are looking for a experienced Customs Declarant Who works independently and accurately, shifts gears quickly and has strong communication skills. You have a keen eye for detail and are always looking for ways to make processes more efficient. HBO working and thinking level Or a completed degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience As a Customs Declarant.
- Knowledge of customs legislation in the Netherlands and Belgium is a plus.
- Experience with customs systems such as Scope, AEB, Winsad, DMS and/or PLDA is a plus.
- A quality-oriented and precise working method.
- Excellent communication skills, both in writing and by telephone.
- A customer and service-oriented attitude - you know how to help customers and customs authorities professionally and efficiently.
- Good command of Dutch and English verbal and written.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility To work in a dynamic environment where no day is the same.
